New Yorker Cover Pencil Sketch 1 (rejected)

Sometimes I create a very simple sketch for a New Yorker cover and sometimes I just go straight to finish and see if the thing flies (it's always nice when it flies). I really thought this was a nice idea -- done in 2007 during all the hoopla over steroids. It didn't fly. The pencil sketch is approx 4"x6.5".
